History

The creation of the Rowley Agency was based on sheer determination in realizing one man’s dream. In 1966, Joseph Rowley, an independent agency branch manager of the Hartford Insurance Group, had a vision to establish a world-class commercial insurance agency in New Hampshire. With the old adage, “Treat others as you wish to be treated,” as the foundation, the Rowley Agency was born inside a single office in Concord. Through the years and after dramatic changes in the landscape of the insurance industry, the company still caters to our customers by listening and adhering to that simple philosophy.

With our forthright and caring outlook, we have proudly grown into one of the largest and highly respected independently owned commercial agencies in New England. With branches in New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont, we have established a long lasting presence in the communities we assist. Our existence stands on the building blocks of care, understanding, and guidance.
